Main Street Square
At the heart of Rapid City’s bustling downtown sits Main Street Square, a fun and active public space that often hosts concerts, cultural events and more. Even on nights with no events, there are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. The square features interactive water fountains in the summer and an outdoor ice skating rink in the winter.
City of Presidents
The Black Hills is home to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, so it only makes sense that Rapid City is known as the City of Presidents. Get up close and personal with life-sized bronze statues of all of our nation’s influential leaders along Rapid City’s streets and sidewalks.
A Black Hills staple since 1936, Dinosaur Park sits on a sandstone ridge and features seven life-size replicas of ancient creatures. The free park also provides gorgeous views of the surrounding area – on a clear day you can see all the way to the badlands.
Journey Museum & Learning Center
Experience 2.5 billion years of Black Hills history firsthand. At the Journey Museum, you’ll be taken back in time with interactive exhibits that highlight the people and events that made the area what it is today.
